After throwing my computer through the window and then realizing that rage won't solve anything, I asked one of the Web God's minions to help. Turns out he knows CSS. He fixed my no-picture problem, but now I need to get it centered.
Still a work in progress...

Ohh, like the pretty blog. :)
This is going to be awesome when you are done!
Hoping you'll see this. Saw your comment on Dooce about your expected baby. My daughter's best friend was born with one arm ending just a few inches below her elbow. She had an artificial arm but chose not to use it because she functioned better without it. Her FIRST pregnancy was with TWINS. I thought one at a time was hard enough, I have 2 sons and 1 daughter, but she handled those babies with no trouble at all. I marveled at her confidence and still do. Just wanted to send you a word of encouragement. Sue in NC
Dear Sue,
Thank you so much! It's very encouraging to hear that your best friend's daughter is doing so well.
I shared this with my husband and it means so much to both of us.
Stephanie,
Thanks - I haven't devoted much time since I made these changes, but my New Year's resolution is to get up off my ass and focus more on the blog AND writing.
That is, of course, if Destructo and the baby will let me. ;)
Hmm, I think I used to know how to center a background. You've got the no-repeat thing; maybe center is like background-x: center; background-y: center? (Totally shooting in the dark.)
Michelle,
THANK YOU!! That did it. Now I'm centered. :)
